Hello world

Today I am doing something that I never thought I would do: I am starting a blog. To be perfectly honest, I don't think that I am a great writer or that I have any groundbreaking insights to share. I started this blog for two reasons: 1) to vent and 2) to provide a way for me to keep in touch with friends and family. So today, my blog is born.
